We have a forty pound German Shepherd / Cattle Dog mix. The large fit him fine, and the ties kept the cape and front panel in place all evening. (We did not use the belt, because it would not have been visible under the belly.)
Tie-on Chest "plate"
I bought this for a Boxer mix dog and it looks like the picture. The description make the Superman chest piece sound more like a vest rather than the actual flat piece of foam which you tie-on by 4 ties, on in each corner. This does allow some room in the sizing and still looks good. The cape ties in two places, once around the neck and again around the chest/stomach. The belt is pretty much worthless and should have just been attached to the chest piece. It slides around very easy, at least on my dog, so I will not use it. I couldn't really see it anyways. The cape seems a little long on the sides, but the length was accurate.
