I have to agree with the other reviewer who said that the sizing chart is off. Both my dogs are about 28 inches from neck to tailbase, so I ordered size XXL - only to find out that the vests are way too big. PPE exchanged them without a problem (I had the new vests within a week) to XL, which fits my 100 pound Black Lab. It is still a little too big for my 78 pound Lab/Husky mix. Otherwise this is a good quality product.
Beware, These Run Long.
These vests are well made for the price (China,of course), but the sizing chart is misleading. The chart states that a medium will fit dogs who are 12 to 16 inches from their neck to the base of their tail, but the medium itself is 16 inches long. My dogs are about 15 inches and there seems to be plenty of strap material to fit a much larger dog. I double checked the tags and mine are indeed mediums. These vests have 3 straps; one around the neck that connects harness-fashion to the one near the middle (about even with the first reflective stripe), and one at the hind end. This last one must have been removed for the picture. If you don't want your dog to pee on the last strap, you will either need to remove it, fold or roll up the vest, or order the next size down.
Great for hunting season
This vest is great, my dog it's okay with it. I bought it because we were going to be in Vermont during hunting season, and I didn't want anybody to confuse my dog with a deer. Also when it's great when you are in the woods because you can find your dog so easy everytime we loose him for a little bit.
