This is much nicer than most of the sweaters/jackets I have tried.
It is thick and fairly heavy and appears to be well made.
If it had fit properly it would have been very warm and comfortable.
The best thing is the opening along the underside, which makes
this coat so much easier to put on than trying to get a snug-fitting
sweater or hoodie on a large dog (not much fun for either party) and
you try a looser fit, they just fall off...
I purchased an XXL for my Akita (85#, 20" from base of neck
to base of tail) which is one size larger than
recommended for his weight/size. This is a little too long, which
is easy enough to fix, but it is also a bit tight around
the chest (he's pretty broad through the neck and chest)
and the velcro closures just don't stay closed. In addition,
the leg openings are positioned too close together and are
constrictive, hindering his walking. I am going to try to
alter the leg...

While Zack & Zoey products tend to be good quality their sizes aren't the same from shirt to coat to hoodie, etc. I have an 80 lb senior dog and this coat is well made, attractive, warm, and most importantly: fits great!
