This thing is great! It is way bigger than I expected. I bought the large for my massive black lab (100+ lbs) and it fits him perfectly. I can put a gallon size ziplock full of dog food on each side along with a 2 quart canteen totaling 2gallons of food and 1 gallon of water. Even after all that there is still room! The built in bungee adds room for a blanket or whatever else you may want your pet to carry, there is also a netted pocket on the outside of one pocket. If you like to camp or hike this is the thing to buy. If I get another dog I will be sure to buy a second pack for them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Ripped on first use
The day tripper arrived with a handle and a D-ring type loop to attach a leash. The very first time I had to give a genital tug to direct my dog the loop ripped right off. This could have been a catastrophic failure if my 90 lb German Sheppard decided to lunge at a yapping dog. I saw some one else make a similar comment and it is true! It will rip VERY easily. The fabric is made out of strong enough material but they didn't care enough about the stitching.
Update: after the 4th use, the strap used to secure the front of the bag totally ripped. Utterly disappointed at this product and the vendor for selling something so poorly constructed.
Cool look, bad quality
The doggy backpack has a cool look. I love the military print and the size is perfect. I can fit 2 water bottles (one for me and one for my GSD), keys, cell phone, and a few other things. I like the extra mesh pockets as well. The thing which is a shame about this product is that the quality is poor. The padding of where the straps are to make it more comfortable for the dog is super thin and they fall off. When you adjust the straps to fit your dog, after a few minutes of walking they go back to their normal size. The worst part about this is that the straps are poorly sewn on. After the 2nd time of my GSD wearing the backpack, one strap completely ripped off. You can see there are only a few stitches that's sewn on to them. Then eventually the others started to fall off. I had this product for a little over a year, and my GSD has worn it about 10-12 times. Not so worth it. If you and your dog are athletic/active on walks, runs, jogs, hikes, etc., don't get this backpack. It will...
