It's a good idea, but there's not much costume showing on top of the dog. When my dog's on her back, it's really cute. The headpiece straps on well enough that she'll keep it on her head for awhile, which is unusual. The medium fit my Shih Tzu, but maybe the large would have better achieved the effect I wanted.
