If you've got a normal shaped dog similar to the one pictured in the description, this costume should fit fairly well to size. If you have say an English Bulldog or really any dog that is odd shaped then buy the next size up regardless of what the measurements say to get. We got the size large for our Bully and could barely tie it even when I added 6 inches to all the measurements. Would give it a higher rating based on how cute he looked but still can't get over the size issue that almost cost him wearing the costume.
Bat Dog
I think this costume would have worked if I had gotten the correct sizing. I bought a medium for a 37 lb. dog when i should have bought a large or xtra large.
