We ordered this costume in size small for our 9-pound terrier mix for Halloween. For the price, the costume is great, (that is, the quality is not awesome, but it is fair for the price). It is made our of inexpensive flannel-type polyester with serged edges rather than hemming, etc. The costume detailing is pretty good - the antennae, legs, and hood brim all have wire in them so you can shape and position them. The lobster tail has ruching and topstitching details.
The velcro staps fit pretty snugly around our dogs neck and belly, and he is a fairly slim dog. If your dog is at all stocky, I would order a size up. The costume has a hole in the back for a leash to go through, which was great.
